1.      Please be informed that there will be a continuation of the Research Forum Workshop on January 11-12, 2012 at 3^rd Floor, HEDC Bldg., Commission on Higher Education, CSU Campus, Ampayon, Butuan City.

2.      A need to have a workshop on research agenda setting as a preliminary activity in crafting the regional research agenda for CARAGA HEIs.  Hence, a collaborative work by pooling experts and resources to come up with research programs that will have a direct impact to the locality. The Objectives of this activity is to be able;

a.      To identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in research among CARAGA HEIs

b.      To identify research areas doable by CARAGA HEI’s within a five (5) year period.

c.       Presentation and Assessment of Research Outputs.

3.      The participants are the RESEARCH DIRECTOR, GRADUATE SCHOOL DEAN and ONE (1) RESEARCH FACULTY coming from the HEIs present during the December 19, 2011 Research Consultative Conference.

4.      Required data from the participating HEIs: (1) SWOT analysis for Research (2) Faculty profile and research output, to be submitted electronically to gaudencio.petalcorin@yahoo.com not later than JANUARY 5, 2012.

5.      No registration fee shall be collected from the participants. Travelling and other  expenses shall be charged against local funds.

6.      Active support and participation of all concerned is hereby enjoined.

2013-2014 Fulbright Program for Graduate Studies in the US

The U.S. Department of State and the Philippine-American Educational Foundation (PAEF) announce the launching of the competition for the 2013-14 Fulbright Graduate Student Program.  The scholarships are granted competitively to Filipinos who wish to study at the graduate level (Master’s or Ph.D.) or pursue non-degree doctoral enrichment or doctoral dissertation research in the United States.  Grantees must return to the Philippines immediately upon completion of their program in the US.

Application period for the 2013-2014 Fulbright competition is from December 12, 2011 to March 23, 2012.
